中国中医药出版社有限公司成立于1989年，直属于国家中医药管理局，经过35年不断发展壮大，已成为目前国内颇具规模、权威的中医药专业出版机构，为原国家新闻出版总署评定的“全国百佳图书出版单位”和“首批养生保健图书出版资质单位”。迄今已出版各类图书12000余种，年度出版新书600余种。
作为中医药文化工作的“国家队”，出版社在优化出版供给上积极探索，形成了以中医药各级各类教材教辅出版为主体，医学考试与培训、中医药学术、古典医籍、文化科普、期刊年鉴及数字出版协同发展的出版格局。自2012年始，10次入围“中国图书海外馆藏影响力出版100强”（其中2019年度名列第9名）。
Established in 1989, China Press of Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. is directly subordinate to the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After 35 years of continuous development and growth, it has become a large-scale and authoritative professional publishing institution for traditional Chinese medicine in China. It was rated as "Top 100 Publishing Units in China" and "first batch of qualified publishing units of health care books" by the former General Administration of Press and Publication. Up to now, more than 12000 kinds of books have been published, with over 600 new books published annually.
Also as an official institution of TCM culture, it keeps improving supply-side reform of publishing, and creates a publishing paradigm of textbooks, exam guides, academic books, ancient TCM classics, health care books, journals, yearbooks and digital publishing. Since 2012, it has been listed 10 times in the “the Top 100 Influential Publishing Houses in Overseas Library Collections of Chinese Books” (ranking 9th in 2019)
